Muscat: As many as 2,249 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) were registered in the Sultanate on Sunday, in addition to 11 new COVID-19 related deaths.
This brings the total number of positive COVID-19 cases to 156,087 in the Sultanate.
The total number of COVID-19 related deaths in Oman stood at 1,661, the Ministry of Health said.
The Ministry also pointed out that (1,654) new cases have recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 142,420.
The Ministry also pointed out that 65 cases were hospitalised over the past 24 hours, adding that the total number of current hospitalised COVID-19-infected patients stands at 466, of them 145 are in intensive care units (ICU).
