Muscat: The Sultanate is witnessing a significant rise in the number of deaths cases due to coronavirus.
According to the latest data, more than 10 Covid-19 deaths cases have been reported, the highest in four months.
On Wednesday, statistics made available on Tarassud, showed that the Sultanate recorded 11 deaths in 24 hours bringing the total deaths to 1,644. The highest previous record wa 12 deaths on November 16.
The Sultanate also recorded 68 patients of those hospitalized during the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 373 cases, of whom 116 are in intensive care.
On Wednesday, MOH registered 741 new cases, taking the total to 153,105.
