MUSCAT: Awasr celebrated the occasion of the fifth anniversary of its establishment, since 2016, Awasr has provided many innovative products and services that have enabled it in a short time to gain the confidence of customers, whether they are individuals or business customers, this celebration was sponsored by Dr Hamad bin Salem Al Rawahi, Chairman of the Board of Directors Awasr and in the presence of the members of the Board of Directors, the executive management of the company, employees, many representatives of the media and influencers from the social media, the celebration included several activities that included introducing the attendees about the company and its achievements during the past five years.
After five years, the company feels proud that it has become a major partner in the technological transformation, whether on a personal level or for business, in the Sultanate of Oman. Dr Hamad bin Salem Al Rawahi, Chairman of Awasr Board of Directors commented on this occasion, saying, “The approach that the company has taken is to employ the latest technologies and the most agile operations enabled Awasr to provide a global communication experience with a high degree of simplicity and stability. This has greatly contributed to improving the quality of services provided to customers and enabling them to enjoy a new and wonderful experience at competitive prices that were not previously obtained before the entry into the market.”

Where we were able, thanks to a creative team of young people and the confidence of our esteemed customers, to record many achievements, including the award for the fastest fixed broadband operator in the Sultanate for the previous years in a row, and our appreciation for the confidence of our current customers or those who will join the Awasr family in the future, we have decided on this anniversary to reward our customers by automatically upgrading their current speed to 1000 Mbps, free of charge, until April 3 of this year, in a move that is the first in the MENA region.”
Awasr is one of the first companies in the region that enabled customers to request services directly through the website without the need to visit any outlet since 2016 and it was the first to provide the fastest Fibrenet package for homes at a speed of 1000 Mbps, and to provide custom Fibrenet services to business customers at speeds Up to 10 gigabits per second. Awasr was also one of the first companies to enable customers to order their services through WhatsApp, and as an additional service for home entertainment, the company provided Jawwy TV, which won the confidence and satisfaction of many customers, and for more control from the Internet risks, the company provided services to enable parents to have more home control called Safenet.
Omanis makes up 92% of the company’s employees, who exhibit a spirit of creativity and the application of innovative ideas to keep pace with global progress in the field of communications. Awasr has devoted most of its attention to empowering Omani youth.
