Muscat: Commercial establishments can now submit requests for promotional offers, discounts, marketing cards and advertising brochures electronically through the Invest Easy portal.
The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion MoCIIP announced the transfer of the service of requests to hold promotional offers, discounts, marketing cards and advertising brochures, through the electronic portal "Invest Easy", as part of the improvements and facilities in a number of services provided by the ministry to service seekers to complete their transactions easily and conveniently.
The Ministry affirmed: "these procedures will contribute to strengthening the partnership between the public and private sectors with the aim of encouraging investments in line with the Ministry's objectives to stimulate the local economy, encourage local capital, and attract foreign investments to contribute to achieving the goals of Oman 2040 Vision."
" This comes within the framework of the Ministry’s plan to modernize the various services that fall within its competencies in order to cope with the economic and commercial changes, developments and expansions that the Sultanate’s markets are witnessing and also in order to conform and be in line with the local legislation and laws regulating the market, as well as to ensure the implementation of the Sultanate’s obligations in some regional and international agreements, "MoCIIP added.
The ministry explained:" The transfer of service requests for promotional offers, discounts, marketing cards and advertising brochure, via the online portal "Invest Easy", comes within the framework of the cooperation program signed by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and Investment Promotion with the Consumer Protection Authority to facilitate and simplify procedures for those dealing with the Ministry and the Authority's services, which makes it easier for applicants. Services The completion of their services is easy and convenient."
Amal Al Fahdi, Head of Commercial Licenses Department at the Department of Commercial Affairs at MoCIIP said:" The Ministry's "Invest Easy" portal is one of the programs that the Sultanate has created in order to facilitate the establishment of commercial and industrial projects and support import and export activities and aims to facilitate the provision of business sector services that It relates to business in the Sultanate, which saves time and effort for investors, business owners and owners, and makes the investment environment in the Sultanate a stimulating environment in light of its potentials that contribute to the establishment of many different mega economic projects in various governorates."
Al Fahdi added:" The Ministry seeks to provide a greater number of electronic services to facilitate procedures and reduce time and effort for the beneficiaries of the service and provide the service faster and accurately, and with the launch of this service, requests will be received electronically by attaching and uploading the required documents through Sanad offices or through the self-service The online portal "Invest Easy" which contributes positively to the speed of completion of the transaction and its clearance in a limited time.
It is worth noting that Ministerial Resolution No. (129/2015) related to the regulation for selling at reduced prices and Ministerial Resolution No. (239/2013) made it possible for commercial, industrial and service establishments to obtain the necessary license from the Ministry to hold any of the promotional offers or discounts and to announce them, in order to conform with Economic and commercial developments and expansions in the Sultanate’s markets, where institutions and companies must submit an application to obtain a license at least 15 days before the start of the offer, provided that it meets the conditions and controls specified in the regulations and decisions pertaining to the offer.
