Muscat : A number of people were arrested for using unlicensed artisanal fishing boats, nets and sea guns for Al-Sharkha fishing.
A statement issued online by Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources said: "This week, the fisheries control team in the Governorate of Dhofar carried out monitoring campaigns that resulted in the arrest of a number of expatriate workers working on artisanal fishing boats as well as Omani fishermen without licenses, including those who used nets and sea guns to catch Al-Sharkha.Legal procedures are being completed against them. "
