Muscat: Oman’s specialised broadband internet service provider, Awasr, has pledged to transform the lives of Omani residents and improve business opportunities in collaboration with technology, entertainment and property companies at the 29th edition of Comex being held at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The internet service provider signed partnership agreements with Intigral, which will deliver home entertainment under the name ‘Jawwy TV’, as well as Towell Property, the real estate arm of the W. J. Towell Group, Seidor – a global system integrator that provides Service Plans and Packages (SAP) consulting services.
The official ceremony was held yesterday at the Comex 2019 in the presence of Abdul Monem Al Futaisi, Chief Operating Officer of Awasr, and other senior executives from the three companies involved.
With the partnership with Intigral, Awasr will now offer customers exclusive content as well as access to a huge collection of entertainment such as OSN, MBC, sports and kids’ channels in HD.
In addition, it also provides a vast library of top international movies as well as the latest Arabic, Khaliji, English and Turkish series, all with the option of subtitles and dubbing in multiple languages.
“With this partnership, we are looking forward to impacting Oman’s scope for communication and entertainment in a life-changing wave,” said Al Futaisi.
The collaboration with Towell Property will see Awasr put the network infrastructure in place to deliver speeds of up to 1 gigabit per second (Gbps) to homes, in line with their vision to create gigabit communities in Oman.
Changing the experience
“At Awasr, we are changing the entire internet experience for the consumer. We are redefining broadband access by developing a network infrastructure designed to improve your connected life and create what we call Gigabit Communities. That’s why we’re thrilled to partner with Towell Property, a company that shares these same values and the spirit of innovation,” Al Futaisi said.
Commenting on the partnership with Seidor, Al Futaisi added “With the rise of hyper connected technology, we are joining forces to deliver global SAP best practices to support Oman’s digital transformation. We are happy to transform customer’s daily lives, by simplifying and giving flexibility in the use of next generation technologies. Backed up with strong SAP Global Partner Seidor, SAWA technologies will support companies in changing the way they do business.”
