Muscat: The Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation has issued an alert for  Omani students in the Republic of Tunisia .

A statement issued online by the ministry said :"We would like to draw the attention of all students studying in the Republic of Tunisia to the necessity to review the circulars issued by the Tunisian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for some Tunisian universities."

"In view of the development in the epidemiological situation in the Republic, it has been decided that, starting from the date of last February 1, the following measures will be implemented:

 1- Presentation of the RT-PCR test result upon entering the Tunisian territory, provided that the results are issued not more than 72 hours before travel.

 2- Adherence to compulsory quarantine for a period of 7 days at the private expense of all travellers coming to the Republic at quarantine centres specified by the official authorities.

 3- It is necessary to show proof of the hotel reservation before traveling.
