Oman's CPA and MoCIIP sign cooperation agreement

Muscat: A cooperation agreement has been signed between The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion (MoCIIP), and the Consumer Protection Authority (CPA).

A statement issued online by Oman News Agency (ONA), said: "The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion signs a cooperation program with the Consumer Protection Authority aimed at developing investment in the Sultanate to ensure the abundance of  the main commodities and products in the local markets, their quality and their price stability."

Dr. Saleh bin Said bin Salim Masan, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion for Commerce and Industry said, "The program aims to develop the services provided through the "Invest Easy" portal and emphasize the complementary and joint work between government institutions and units in an effort to facilitate investors and to create an attractive investment environment."

His Excellency Sulayem bin Ali Al Hikmani, Chairman of the Consumer Protection Authority added: "The cooperation program came at the initiative of the authority keeping in mind the importance of integration between the authorities, which will positively affect the consumer and the provider alike."
