Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has arrested four expats for possession of narcotic substances for the purpose of trafficking and abuse.

A statement issued online by ROP said: "The General Administration for Combating Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances arrests four expatriates on charges of possessing narcotic substances for the purpose of trafficking and abuse, and participating with international gangs and seized from their possession 55,836 kilograms of crystal drug, 8,573 kilograms of morphine and 2,390 kilograms of opium.
