Muscat: The Head of the Tax Authority has issued the Executive Regulations for the Value Added Tax (VAT) Law on Sunday.
His Excellency Saud bin Nasser Al Shukaili, Head of the Tax Authority, issued Decision No. 53/2021, issuing the Executive Regulations for the Value Added Tax Law.
According to what was stated in the official gazette, the first article of the decision stipulated that the provisions of the executive regulations of the value-added tax law should be enforced.
While the second article of the decision stipulates that this decision shall be published in the Official Gazette and shall be enforced from the date of entry into force of the aforementioned Value Added Tax Law”.
It is reported that this decision was based on the Value Added Tax Law issued by Royal Decree No. 121/2020.
