Muscat: His Excellency Sayyid Badr Al Busaidi, Oman’s Foreign Minister received a call from UN Secretary General António Guterres. During the call, Guterres discussed developments related to the Yemeni crisis and the efforts to stop the war and military operations.
In a statement, Oman News Agency ONA said: "His Excellency Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister received a phone call from the Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres, to discuss the developments related to the Yemeni crisis and the efforts made to stop the war and military operations. The two leaders also discussed the peaceful solutions between various parties to end the conflict"
"During the call, the important role of the UN Secretary-General's envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths, was also emphasized and supported his efforts in stopping the war and reviving political negotiations in a way that meets the aspirations of the Yemeni people to achieve security and stability,” the statement added.
