Muscat: The Oman Tennis Federation (OTA) on Wednesday celebrated the conferring of Davis Cup Commitment Award by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) on Omani star Mohammed Al Nabhani.
Launched in 2012, the ITF presents the Award through the national associations to players who have competed in a minimum of 20 home or away ties or 50 ties at any level of the competition, including Zone Group Events.
Mohammed Al Nabhani, who represented Oman in 57 Davis Cup ties, was presented with the award during a ceremony organised at the OTA Headquarters.
Oman Olympic Committee (OOC) chief Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed Al Zubair handed over the award and a certificate to Mohammed Al Nabhani in the presence of OTA chief Khalid Al Aadi and vice-chairman Khalid Al Nabhani, the elder brother of Mohammed who had also represented Oman in the Davis Cup for several years.
