Financial grants for Omani trainees part of stimulus plan
Muscat: There will be monthly financial grants ranging between OMR 150 to OMR 250, for the Omani trainees for different education levels, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour for Human Resources Development revealed.
An official from the Ministry of Labour has confirmed to the Times of Oman that the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour for Human Resources Development Sayyid Salim Bin Musallam Al Busaidi while speaking to a local radio station said that "There will be monthly financial grants for Omani trainees as follows: OMR 250 for Bachelor’s graduates, OMR 200 for diploma graduates and OMR 150 for the High school Diploma graduates.”
The official explained: "This comes in accordance with the economic stimulus plan that was announced on Tuesday with regard to labour market and employment incentives, as OMR 20 million were allocated in the 2021 budget to train Omanis job seekers and qualify them for the labour market."
He continued, "The trainees will be given a financial grant according to the number of trainees who are within the implementation plan for 2021, which was announced by the Ministry of Labour in January 2021, and whose number reached 20,000 trainees."
