Eight arrested, fined in Oman for gathering and violating quarantine rules

Muscat: An imprisonment for a period of 6 months a fine of OMR 500 has been imposed on eight citizens for violating the institutional quarantine procedures and gathering. 

A statement issued online by Public Prosecution said :"Primary courts in North Batinah and Buraimi convicted 8 citizens for violating the institutional quarantine procedures and gathering  as instructed by the Supreme Committee on COVID-19 and sentenced them to 6 months in prison and a fine of OMR 500."
