Advisory on classes for government school students in Oman issued

Muscat: The Ministry of Education has decided that students' attendance for all grades in government schools during the period between March 7 (Sunday) and March 11 (Thursday) will be via distance education.

A statement issued online by the Ministry of Education said: "In light of the decision issued by the Supreme Committee to deal with COVID-19, in its meeting held on Monday 1 March 2021, it has been decided to continue classes in government schools through distance education during the period from March 7 to March 11, provided that this is evaluated in accordance with the developments of the epidemiological situation in the Sultanate."

"The governorates' general directorates of education will follow up the progress of work in their schools in accordance with the general framework for the operation of schools, with an emphasis on the need to adhere to the precautionary measures adopted in the health protocols," the statement added.
