Cairo: The Sultanate participated in the 155th Session of the Council of the Arab League held at the level of the permanent representatives to the Arab League.
The activities of the session kicked off, on Monday, in preparation for the Ministerial Meeting, scheduled for Wednesday at the premises of the Secretariat General of the Arab League.
The Sultanate delegation was chaired by Abdullah bin Nasser Al Rahbi, the Sultanate's ambassador to Egypt and its permanent representative to the Arab League. The permanent representatives would discuss draft laws and other issues to be submitted to the Arab Foreign Ministers' meeting.
The issues include the Palestinian cause, the development of the conditions in Libya, Syria and Yemen and the external intervention in the internal affairs of the Arab countries.
Abdullah bin Nasser Al Rahbi, the Sultanate's ambassador to Egypt and permanent representative to the Arab League said that the meetings of the 155th session of the Council of the Arab League are vital, mainly amidst the current regional and international developments.
He said that the Sultanate, under the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik would continue its support for the Arab League as to achieve its objectives for the interest of the peoples of the Arab countries.
He said that His Majesty The Sultan in his speech when he assumed power on January 11, 2020, reaffirmed that the Sultanate would continue to support the Arab League.
He added that the Sultanate would work with all member states of the Arab League for the interest of the Arab causes, mainly the Palestinian cause.
