Muscat: Traditional industries inherited from ancient times, which are guaranteed to be passed on to generations over the years, find out here!

An industry inherited from ancient times that has guaranteed the transmission of generations over the years, which is the extraction of salt. It is famous for many Wilayates in the Sultanate, including Qurayyat, Mahout and other coastal areas.

The manufacture of marine nets, spinning leakh is one of the traditional Omani handicrafts that the Omani fisherman has practised for many years for fishing and is still practised until now in various regions of the coast and is considered one of the basic tools used by fishermen.

 Al Leakh nets are widely used in all regions of the Sultanate and are known by many names according to their use in fishing, including: (Al Hayal leakh - Al Manseb leakh - Al Dhageah leakh - Al Hawi or Tahweet leakh - Al Ghel leakh)

Also from the inherited industries are the fronds and pottery industries, one of the oldest craft industries in Oman, due to the multiplicity of their use in the life of the old Omani man and the existence of the tools necessary for their industry, which contributed to the spread of these industries until now.
