Muscat: The Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulances (PACDA) has urged everyone to adhere to the procedures set by the competent authorities for residential, industrial and agricultural facilities to prevent fire-related incidents.
A statement issued online by Oman News Agency said:"The Public Authority for Civil Defense and Ambulance calls on everyone to follow the conditions and procedures set by the competent authorities into effect for residential, industrial and agricultural facilities to prevent the fire incidents and prevent losses.”
Brigadier General Salem bin Yahya Al Hinai, Director General of Civil Defense, confirms in a statement to Oman News Agency(ONA), that: "one of the most important causes of fires in industrial facilities is a failure to comply with the requirements set by civil protection, random storage, and build buildings with unstable and non-fireproof materials and failure to adhere to the periodic maintenance of alarm and extinguishing systems, and to ensure the validity of electrical connections inside the building."
