Inspection of fish markets in Qurayyat carried out

Muscat: The Ministry of Labour has conducted an inspection campaign at the fish market in the Wilayat of Qurayyat and arrested a number of expatriate workers for violating labour laws by working in unauthorised professions.

A statement issued online by the Ministry of Labour said: "The Ministry, represented by Qurayyat Labour Department, in coordination with the Joint Inspection Team of the General Directorate of Labour care, and in cooperation with the Royal Oman Police, carried out an inspection campaign on the fish market in the Wilayat of Qurayyat, which resulted in the arrests of a number of expatriate workers found in violation of the labour law for working in unauthorised professions."
