Muscat: Recognising the role of teachers in strengthening the education sector, especially in face of the COVID-19 challenges, Ahli Islamic has announced special draws on the occasion of Teacher's Day, as part of the 2021 Qitaf prize scheme.

The draw aims to encourage Ahli Islamic customers, who are in the education sector and supports their aspirations with greater opportunities to win valuable prizes. The 2021 Qitaf Teacher’s day draw will be held on the said occasion, on Wednesday, February 24, and broadcasted live on the bank's official social media platforms.

Names of 25 lucky teachers will be announced via the social media live stream, rewarding them with a cash prize of OMR25,000 (OMR 1,000 for every teacher). To qualify for this draw, a customer must be officially occupying a teaching profession (school/ college/ university), maintaining a minimum average monthly balance of OMR100.

Yousuf bin Salim Al Rawahi, Deputy General Manager and Head of Ahli Islamic said, “In our new prize scheme for 2021, Ahli Islamic has added new categories, including weekly draws for children. To honour and appreciate the active role and efforts of the teacher to prepare future generations and support the country's development journey, Ahli Islamic has dedicated special draws for Omani Teacher's Day. 2021 Qitaf prize scheme, which is Shari’a compliant, seeks to reward its customers with prizes totalling more than RO 1,250,000, throughout the year, enabling more than 4,200 customers to win from its branches across the Sultanate.”

According to the new scheme system, Qitaf account holders are eligible to participate in the monthly, weekly, and special occasion prize draws if they maintain an average minimum balance of OMR 100. However, the minimum eligibility criteria for the quarterly draw is OMR 1,000. A dedicated children’s weekly prize draw will have three winners from each branch rewarded with OMR 50 each, and another two general category winners from each branch winning OMR 250 each every week.

Al-Rawahi further stated, “Qitaf prize scheme rewards Ahli Islamic customers for their commitment and loyalty, providing them with the opportunity to invest their capital in profitable assets, and also be eligible to win various prizes in this journey. Accordingly, we confirm our continued efforts to provide the best offers and products that suit the changing requirements of their evolving world.”
