Oman Cricket: Vaishali to lead Oman at UAE International T20 tournament

Muscat: Wicketkeeper-batswoman Vaishali Jesrani will lead Oman team at the UAE International Women’s T20 Tournament to be organised in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from December 14.
Akshadha Gunasekar will be the vice-captain of the team that will also be accompanied by coach Nilesh Parmar, manager Sajit Kumar and physio Anitha Varadharajan.
The tournament that runs till December 20 will see participation of seven teams. Besides Oman and the hosts UAE, the other teams taking part in the event are Kuwait, Kenya, Qatar, Uganada and Malaysia.
Oman are placed in Group B along with Kuwait and Uganda while Group A comprises Kuwait, Kenya, Qatar and UAE.
Oman begin their campaign against Uganda on December 14 and play their second group match against Uganda the following day.
The semifinals are scheduled for December 18 and the final will be played on December 19.
