Muscat: The Sultanate’s embassy has confirmed that all Omani citizens in Japan are safe following an earthquake that hit off the coast of northeastern Japan, shaking Fukushima, Miyagi, and other areas on Saturday night.
"Following up on the developments of the earthquake that occurred yesterday evening in northeastern Japan, the embassy wishes to reassure everyone that the honourable Omani citizens in Japan are fine, praise is to God, and the embassy also requests safety for all, and calls upon the honorable citizens to continue to abide by the instructions of the local authorities,” embassy said in a statement.
