Citizen rescued by Royal Air Force of Oman

Muscat: The Royal Air Force of Oman has conducted a rescue operation for a citizen in Dhofar Governorate.

A statement issued online by Oman News Agency (ONA), said: "A helicopter of the Royal Air Force of Oman carried out a rescue operation for a citizen who had climbed Jabal Samhan in the Wilayat of Sadah in the Governorate of Dhofar and was unable to continue walking back. He was transferred to Salalah Air Base and the necessary first aid was provided. He was reunited with his family in good health."

"This comes within the framework of the humanitarian services and efforts provided by the Sultan's Armed Forces and other departments in the Ministry of Defense, along with other government institutions, to citizens and residents of the homeland," the statement added.
