Muscat: The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources has issued a statement permitting the entry of camels stuck outside the Sultanate and exempting owners from all fines imposed on them.
In its statement, the Ministry said: “In view of the precautionary measures that have been taken to confront the emerging coronavirus pandemic, by closing the land border ports of the Sultanate, owners and carriers of camels are allowed to cross the border and exempt all fines incurred by them during the period from the beginning of September 2020 until the end of March 2021, provided that work will be resumed after that in accordance with Article 5 of the ministerial decision referred to above."
“All owners and transporters of camels must bring specification forms for camels that were allowed to exit the border crossing within the specified period,” the statement added.
