Drifting drivers to showcase skills at Red Bull Car Park Drift Final 2016 in Oman

Muscat: People in Muscat are gearing up for the Red Bull Car Park Drift Final 2016, the biggest motorsports event ever to hit Oman.
The smoky showdown, held in association with the Oman Automobile Association, will take place at the iconic Port Sultan Qaboos this Friday, December 9.
The Red Bull Car Park Drift is a much-loved annual series that showcases the best drifting talent from around the region.
The unique event challenges the skills of the drifters and the capabilities of their cars. The year 2016 will be the first time that the season final will be held in Oman.
Top drifters from the Middle East and Africa, including three from Oman, will battle it out for the coveted title of ‘King of Drift.’
In addition to intense drifting action, spectators will also be wowed by the side-acts, including champion rally driver Abdo Feghali and gravity defying stunt exhibition and enduro rider Brian Capper.
On the event day, doors will open at 1pm for the 2:30pm kick-off. Parking will be available at Jibroo Parking (next to the Indian School Muscat). A shuttle service will be available from Jibroo Parking to the event venue between 12pm-6pm.
For spectators traveling via Darsait/Lulu Hypermarket Road, take a U-turn from Al Mina roundabout and follow the signs to Jibroo Parking. For those travelling from Wadi Kabir, turn left at the Al Bustan roundabout and follow the Muttrah corniche.
At the Fish roundabout, take another left and follow the signs to Jibroo Parking where shuttle buses will be waiting. No spectator will be able to board the shuttle bus or enter the venue of the event without ticket.
Ticket sales for the Red Bull Car Park Drift Final are in the last stages. Premium Grandstand tickets are already sold out and standing tickets are soon to be sold out.
