Muscat: More than 2,000 people in the Sultanate have been vaccinated with the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine during the past 24 hours, which is 3 percent of the total coverage rate for the target groups.
A statement issued online by Oman News Agency (ONA), said: "According to a statistic issued by the Ministry of Health, the total number of those vaccinated with the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine during the first phase of the national campaign for immunization against Covid 19 reached 2,101 during the past 24 hours, which is 3 percent of the total coverage rate for the target groups."
The statistic indicated that:" the Governorate of Muscat recorded the highest number of people who were vaccinated with the vaccine, reaching 875, followed by North Al Batinah Governorate with the vaccination of 315 people."
" Al-Dakhiliyah Governorate recorded the vaccination of 267 people, while Al-Dhahirah Governorate recorded the vaccination of 176 people, North Al Sharqiyah Governorate recorded the vaccination of 133 people, and the Governorate of Al Sharqiyah South recorded the vaccination of 132 people."
The statistic stated that:" Dhofar Governorate recorded the vaccination of 36 people, while Al-Buraimi recorded the vaccination of 34 people. No cases of vaccination were recorded in the Al Wusta and Musandam governorates."
