Oman's Consulate in Australia issues statement on registration of courses for 2021

Muscat: The Consulate General of Oman in Australia has issued a statement regarding the registration of courses for the first semester of the academic year 2021.

A statement issued online by the Consulate General of Oman in Australia said: "In light of the Consulate General's close follow-up with Australian and New Zealand universities all developments related to the outbreak of the new Coronavirus and the extent of its impact on the educational process in Australian and New Zealand universities during the academic year 2020 and with the approaching beginning of the first semester of the academic year 2021 and the continuation of most universities to offer their study programs through Online platforms."

The Consulate General also said: "The Consulate General would like to emphasize that all students on scholarships in Australian and New Zealand universities, whether they are in the countries of scholarship or those who returning Oman must do the following:
 
1. Complete the registration of the maximum number of (academic load) courses for the first semester of the academic year 2021 in coordination with the academic department to which the student belongs at the university, provided that this is done as soon as possible.

 2. Students wishing to study some of the academic courses included in their study plan and offered in Australian or New Zealand universities other than the universities in which they are enrolled should refer to the academic supervisor of the program (program coordinator) at the university in which the student is studying to obtain the written approval to study the courses and then send the written approval issued by the program coordinator to the academic department of the Consulate General.

So that the academic department can complete the rest of the procedures related to the student’s study of academic courses in other Australian or New Zealand universities that are not enrolled in it, in coordination with the Financial Department of the Consulate General.

 3. The student should contact the academic department of the Consulate General in the event that the student encounters any problem related to the registration of the first semester courses, in order to find appropriate solutions for them, provided that this is done as soon as the problem arises and not late in reporting it."
