Vaccination details for Al Dhahirah governorate released

Muscat: In continuation of the national campaign for immunisation against Covid-19, the General Directorate of Health Services in Al Dhahirah Governorate called on the target groups to receive the first dose of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine, starting on Sunday, February 7, 2021.

A statement issued online said: "The target group of elderly people aged 65 years and over, regardless of whether they are healthy or suffering from any chronic diseases, should go to receive the first dose of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine on Sunday, February 7, 2021 during official working days from Sunday to Thursday between 8 am to 1 pm, with the following exceptions:

 1- Those who received the Pfizer BionTech vaccine during the last period will not be eligible.

 2- Those who were previously exposed to the Covid-19 virus.

"We would also like to point out that the following health institutions have been identified to be sites to administer the vaccine. People need to bring an ID, passport or resident card:
 
 1- Ibri Health Complex
 2- Dhank Health Center
 3- Yanqul Health Center
 4- Tanem Health Center
 5- Maqaniyat Health Center
 6- Hagermatt Health Center
 7- Wadi Al-Ayn Health Center  

"The Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine comes in two doses, the interval between first and second dose  is four weeks (28 days)," the statement added.
