Oman's Defence Ministry official participates in regional conference

Muscat: His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Defence, participated by video call, in the meeting of defense ministers of the association of countries bordering the Indian Ocean.

The Ministry of Defense said in a statement: "In the meeting, ways to ensure cooperation of the countries of the association, in combating maritime piracy and overfishing, preserving freedom of navigation in the Indian Ocean were discussed. The importance of strengthening and consolidating cooperation s in a way that achieves peace, security and prosperity for the countries of the region was stressed."
