Muscat: The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth has informed of the suspension of sporting activities until further notice.
A statement issued online by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth said, ”We would like to inform you that the precautionary directives and measures require the suspension of sporting activities until further notice, provided that the public leagues of the sports federations resume, taking into account the medical protocol previously stipulated.”
“We ask everyone to cooperate and abide by the above in this regard, with wishes for health and wellness to all,” the statement added.
This direction has come in accordance with the decisions of the Supreme Committee in charge of COVID-19 suspending local events and activities of a public nature, including sports activities and exhibitions of all kinds.
