Muscat: Ministry of Heritage and Tourism has confirmed that all hotel establishments and tourist centres are prohibited from holding social events whatever they are.
A statement issued online by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism (MHT) said, ”The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism would like to confirm that, as of January 27, 2021, it is prohibited for all hotel establishments and tourism to hold social events whatever they are, and the holding of international events, activities and conferences within the Sultanate is also suspended. It is also prohibited to hold internal activities of a public nature and exhibitions of all kinds, until further notice.”
The statement added, ”We hope for your cooperation for the good of the public interest, and we ask God for safety for all.”
This statement came in reference to the decisions of the Supreme Committee in charge to deal with COVID-19 issued on January 7, 2021, regarding the banning of some events and activities.
