Muscat: The Ministry of Health (MOH), has denied rumors being circulated regarding the number of cases and deaths related to Covid-19 during the past three days.
A statement issued online by the Ministry said: "The Ministry of Health would like to warn everyone that there is no truth to what is being circulated on social media that Oman has recorded 1,543 cases of Covid-19 virus and 24 deaths during the past three days. Note that the correct number recorded is 558 cases and 4 deaths."
"The Ministry calls on everyone to obtain information from its official sources and not to heed rumours and it will take legal action in this regard," the statement added.
