Doha: Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, received yesterday Sayyid Hammoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior, at the headquarters of the Police College in Al Sailiya area in Doha.
During the meeting, Al Busaidi conveyed the greetings of His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik to the Emir of Qatar, wishing him good health and happiness, and Qatari people further progress and prosperity.
On his part, Sheikh Tamim asked Al Busaidi to convey his greetings and good wishes to His Majesty the Sultan, and further growth and prosperity for Omani people.
During the meeting, they reviewed the strong fraternal relations between the two countries and ways of developing and enhancing them in various fields.
The meeting was attended by the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of Qatar, and the Sultanate’s Ambassador to Qatar.
The Minister of Interior also participated in the graduation ceremony of the third batch of students nominated at the Police College which was held at the college’s headquarters in Al Sailiya.
The graduation ceremony was sponsored by Sheikh Tamim in the presence of a number of their excellencies and senior officials of the Arab countries and heads of diplomatic missions.
The delegation watched the presentations accompanying the graduation ceremony and the formations made by the graduate students.
The participation by the Minister of Interior came in response to an official invitation received from the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the State of Qatar.
