Grace period for expat workers increased in Oman

Muscat: The Ministry of Labour has announced an extension of the grace period for employers to correct the status of the expats workforce working for them until 26 January 2021. The grace period was supposed to end on January  21,2021

According to Ministry of Labour announcement, during this period the employer can move expat manpower from 'Omanised' professions to other jobs or transfer data of manpower from one activity to another in the same establishments. Employers can also amend wages of expat according to approved work contracts and transfer expats from one employer to another according to established controls and procedures.
