Muscat: Ministry of Labour will be holding a press conference about the Ministry's plan for 2021 and job opportunities in the public and private sectors. 

A statement issued online by Oman News Agency (ONA) said, ”Within the framework of the Ministry of Labour's continuous keenness, in coordination with the concerned authorities in the public and private sectors, to communicate with the community and clarify aspects related to the labour market and employment plans, the ministry will hold a press conference next Wednesday, January 27, 2021, during which the ministry’s plans for 2021 will be announced, which include what has been reached during the past period of analysing the current situation of the labour market and employment, and then the ministry’s plans to address the challenges facing the labour market.”

The statement went on to say that: ”The conference includes announcing job opportunities, and a number of initiatives and procedures that the ministry is working on to correct labour market conditions and achieve a balance between the number of job seekers and the available employment opportunities.”

“The Ministry will also announce a number of decisions related to the resettlement of a number of professions and jobs for job seekers in the public and private sectors, which will be announced successively during this year,” the statement added.
