Muscat : The Environment Authority has successfully rescued a humpback whale that was stranded in the port of Duqm. A statement issued online by Environment Authority said: "With the efforts made by specialists in the Environment Authority and the Five Oceans Company next to the port of Duqm, the Coast Guard and the Royal Oman Air Force, and based on the report that the humpback whale was seen free from the trapped nets, the team announces the successful completion of the mission."
The Royal Air Force of Oman flew the CASA planes to confirm that the whale left to the ocean intact, and the Coast Guard monitored the path of the whale as it crossed the waters of the port of Duqm, and the authority extends its sincere thanks to all parties involved in this environmental work
