Over 7000 packages of khat seized by ROP

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has thwarted the smuggling of more than 7,000 packages of khat. 

A statement issued online by ROP said, "The Department of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances, led by the Dhofar Governorate Police, thwarted the smuggling of more than 7,090 packages of khat."

"The Royal Oman Police calls on citizens and residents to cooperate in combating the scourge of drugs, and to inform the police of any information that helps detect smugglers and promoters of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances."
