Bangladesh Social Club board receives ministry’s approval

Muscat: The names of the 12 executive board members of the Bangladesh Social Club have been approved by the ministry, according to a statement by the Club’s official.

These members who are also known as the club’s committee, have been overseeing the club’s operations for the year 2020/21. “I would like to thank everyone for their kind support and cooperation,” said Sirajul Hique, chairman, Bangladesh Social Club Oman.

“The club is now running with two branches in Muscat and Salalah. Opening of a few more branches are under process, including those in Sohar and Sur.”

Recent efforts by members of the Bangladesh Social Club to help their countrymen who’ve been strongly affected by the COVID-19, particularly during the lockdown. The social club also, in collaboration with the Oman Blood Bank, organised blood donation drives to help critical patients.

Established in 1995, the club has been working for the betterment of the Bangladeshi community across different aspects of their lives, and has organised many socio-cultural activities with the approval of the concerned government authorities.
