Masirah beach in Oman cleaned as part of campaign

Muscat: A campaign to clean the beaches of Masirah Island was carried out today by the Environment Authority with the participation of several government and private agencies, volunteer teams and community members.

A statement issued online by the Environment Authority said: "In cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources and Petroleum Development Oman, and with the participation of several government and private agencies, volunteer teams and community members, a campaign to clean the beaches of Masirah Island was carried out today. The number of participants reached more than 100."

"The Environment Authority thanks all the participating entities and community members for their cooperation in preserving the environment," the statement added.
