Muscat: Oman's Cultural Attaché in Malaysia has issued a statement for students studying in that country.
"We inform you that due to the recent increase in Covid-19 cases in Malaysia, the Malaysian government has decided to implement Movement control order (MCO) again from January 13 to January 26, 2021 in six Malaysian states, which are: the Federal Territories (Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Labuan), Selangor, Melaka, Johor, Sabah and Penang."
"During the period of the restriction of movement, movement between states and regions is strictly prohibited, police and army forces will be deployed, and movement is permitted within 10 km from the house with the aim of purchasing basic needs of food or medicine."
"No more than two people are allowed out for each car for this purpose (a document should be carried that shows the place of residence, such as a phone or electricity bill) and it is prohibited to sit at restaurants that will only be open to deliver orders."
"Important economic activities permitted to operate are supermarkets, pharmacies, clinics and banks.
Students who are in the aforementioned six states are requested to follow the precautionary measures announced by the Malaysian government to preserve your health, the most important of which is to stay in houses and not go out unless necessary."
