Ministry appreciates Royal Decree on Oman Future Communications

Muscat: Licensing a third operator will contribute to increasing competition between telecommunications companies in the Sultanate for the benefit of the user, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology started on Wednesday.

The ministry said in its statement: "The ministry appreciates the issuance of the Royal Decree granting Oman Future Communications Company Vodafone a Class A license to provide public mobile telecommunications services."

"This step will contribute to increasing the competition between telecommunications companies in the Sultanate for the benefit of the user of these services, and will support the communications and information technology sector and enhance the role of the digital economy in the Sultanate," the ministry added.
