Al-Ula: On behalf of His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik, HH Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers arrived on Tuesday at Al-Ula city in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) to lead the Sultanate's delegation in the 41st Summit of GCC Leaders, scheduled to be held at Maraya Concert Hall.

Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince, KSA Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence headed the reception team welcoming HH Sayyid Fahd upon his arrival at Prince Abdul Majeed bin Abdulaziz Airport in the Governorate of Al-Ula. HH Sayyid Fahd was also received by Dr. Nayef Falah Al-Hajraf, GCC Secretary General and the deputy head of the Sultanate's mission in Saudi Arabia.

Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al-Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, gave a statement upon his arrival reading as follows: “On the occasion of convening the 41st GCC Summit in Saudi Arabia, I am honoured to head the Sultanate’s delegation on behalf of His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik and to convey His Majesty’s greetings to his brethren, leaders of GCC states, along with his wishes that the summit will meet with success and achieve its goals.

"Developments in the regional and international arena require the coordination of stands and the devising of means to tackle challenges, secure the region’s interests and achieve the aspirations of its people for a better future of stability and security. The GCC has made many achievements at all sectors, and this requires exerting efforts to safeguard the gains realised since the establishment of the GCC in 1981.

"The Sultanate of Oman reaffirms its permanent stance in supporting the GCC march. Oman also expresses its appreciation for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia—as leadership and people—and prays to the Almighty Allah to bestow bounties of progress and prosperity on the brotherly Saudi people and all other GCC peoples.”
