Muscat: More than 2,500 cases have submitted to the Public Prosecution in December 2020.
According to the statistic published by the Public Prosecution, the number of cases received in December 2020 reached 2365, compared to 2429 in November 2020, and the number of defendants in December 2020 reached 2860, compared to 2805 accused in November 2020.
The number of judicial decisions issued by the Public Prosecution reached 3,456 in December 2020 compared to 2,607 in November 2020, while the number of judicial orders issued by the Public Prosecution in December 2020 was 12,608, compared to 12,200 in November 2020. The number of investigation reports in December 2020 was 4,805 compared to 4,160 in November 2020.
As for the number of judicial acts, it reached 1,652 in December 2020 compared to 1,207 in November 2020, and the number of complaints received by Public prosecution electronically in December 2020 was 214 compared to 213 in November 2020. The number of requests received by the Auditor Service Department in December 2020 was 94 compared to 85 in November 2020.
