Urgent appeal made for O-negative blood donation in Oman

Muscat: The Department of Blood Bank Services (DBBS), has  made an urgent appeal to the holders of O- type blood to donate at the Central Blood Bank in Baushar.

A statement issued online by DBBS said: "Due to the presence of more than one critical patient requiring blood transfusion, we appeal to the holders of of the O- type to rush to donate blood today at the Central Blood Bank in Baushar."

"Blood donation times are from Saturday to Thursday, from 8 am to 8 pm and on Friday from 3 pm to 8 pm. Please book your appointment to donate blood via WhatsApp at 94555648," the statement added.
