Oman Embassy in Turkey issues notice for PCR tests

Muscat: The Embassy of Oman in Ankara has issued a notice about PCR examination for Omanis who wishing to travel to Turkey.

A statement issued online by Oman Embassy in Ankara said, "The Turkish authorities announced the imposition of presenting a PCR examination conducted 3 days before the date of travel, as a maximum, for all arrivals to Turkey, as of 28th December. In the event that the examination is not carried out, they will be imposed a 7-day quarantine in their place of residence or in a place determined by the Ministry of Health if they do not have a permanent address."

"The quarantine period will be ended after conducting a corona examination for them on the 7th day and making sure that the travellers are not infected with the virus. The Turkish authorities explained that the decision will remain in effect until 1st March 2021.

"The decision will also be applied to all land and seaports as of 30th December 2020," the statement added.
