Capital Market Authority quashes rumours circulated on social media

Muscat: The Capital Market Authority (CMA), has denied rumours circulated on social media about the obligation to apply health insurance to citizens or determine the cost of the insurance premium.

A statement issued online by CMA said :"What is being circulated on social media accounts about the obligation to apply health insurance to citizens or determine the cost of the insurance premium is not true."

"We stress the importance of obtaining accurate information about the generalisation of health insurance project for workers in the private sector (Omanis and expatriates) and visitors to the Sultanate through social media platforms for the "Dhamani" account in Twitter or CMA account," the statement added.
