We Love Oman: Winter is the perfect time for camping

 For those who are in Oman this is the perfect time to enjoy the chilly weather, feel the winter sun, watch the stars at night,  and make full use of the pleasant climate. And the best way to do so is to go for camping, Oman being an ideal camping destination especially during the winter months.

Being endowed with natural beauty with all the three topographical features - mountains, deserts, and beaches, why not make the most of it. If you love a desert escapade, this is the perfect time to go for camping at Sharqiyah Sands for a memorable desert experience. For those in love of mountains and valleys,  Oman's highest peak, Jabal Shams, is an ideal camping location.

Take the Nizwa road from the Al Sahwa roundabout, then take the road to Al Hamra and from there turn left to Wadi Al Goul where you will see the mountain route. You can also go to Jabal Al Akhdar for camping and those who love hiking can hike down from the top to the nearby villages.

The White Beach in Fins, known for its rocky coastal wall, captivating sea scenery, and beautiful white sands, is one of the best locations for camping. You can find the best camping spot along the beach. While Ras Al Hadd is visited for turtle watching, many people prefer going there for camping. Wadi Shab, Mughsayl, are some of the other ideal camping areas.

Camping is enjoyed on Qantab in Muscat Governorate, Ras Al Hadd in A'Sharqiyah South Governorate, on mountain tops in Jabal Shams (Sun Mountain) or Al Jabal Al Akhdar (Green Mountain) in A Dakhiliyah Governorate, camping in the desert, both in Badiya sands in A'Sharqiyah North Governorate, or in The Empty Quarter in Dhofar.  This is not to mention the magnificence of camping in Damaniyat Islands in Al Batinah South Governorate, or camping in one of the secluded beaches that spread in Musandam Governorate."
