Oman's Social Development Ministry issues notice on community initiatives

Muscat: The Ministry of Social Development (MoSD), has issued a notice about community initiatives and awards that are launched by the private sector and civil society institutions that are related to the fields of work of the Ministry.

A statement issued online by the ministry said: "The Ministry affirms to owners of community initiatives and prizes that are launched by private sector institutions and civil society related to the fields of this ministry's work, the necessity of prior communication with its specialists to coordinate the establishment of initiatives and awards in order to unify efforts and create joint cooperation mechanisms regarding them."

"Especially those related to the areas involving women, children, people with disabilities and social security families, in a way that ensures that they do not deviate from the foundations, controls and standards approved for them by the Ministry in order to ensure the sustainability and continuity of these initiatives and achieve their objectives in a way that serves the joint efforts in the field of social work."

"We hope that everyone will abide by the directives issued by the Ministry in this regard, to achieve the public good," the statement added.
