RNO commander receives British Chief of Naval Staff

Muscat: Rear Admiral Abdullah bin Khamis al-Ra’eesi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO), received in his office at Mu’askar Al Murtafa' today Admiral Tony Radakin, Chief of the British Naval Staff and his accompanying delegation, currently visiting the Sultanate.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on several matters related to the naval areas between the two friendly countries

The meeting was attended by some officials from both sides.

Meanwhile, the British military official, accompanied by RNO Commander, paid a visit to the Maritime Security Centre (MSC).

The guest was briefed on the tasks and roles of the centre in managing and leading operations of the naval security in terms of maritime hazards, mainly search and rescue operations and protecting the marine environment from various risks.

He also viewed the modern devices and equipment used in supporting maritime security operations.
