Oman to witness heavy rainfall next week

Muscat: Most parts of the Sultanate will be affected by a low pressure next week resulting in moderate to heavy rains.

Speaking exclusively to Times of Oman, a specialist at the National Early Warning Center at the Civil Aviation Authority said: "According to recent indications, aerial maps show that the airspace of the northern Governorates of the Sultanate will be affected by a low pressure from December 7 to 9, which includes the governorates of Musandam, North and South Al Batinah, Muscat, parts of Al Dhahirah, Al Dakhiliyah and North Al Sharqiyah."

“The rain ranges from slightly to moderate and heavy rains falling in some areas with the possibility of hailstorms falling on mountain areas and some parts of Musandam and North Al Batinah Governorates affected by this groove,”the specialist added.
